Australian Junior Teams and Championships Results

The Mitchell Billiards Junior Team Challenge and National Junior Championships concluded yesterday with Qld Red team defeating Qld Blue in the final 5-0.

The Queensland team consisted of Lilly Meldrum, Ambrose Adeney, Xavier Daw, Jayden Dinga and Harry Mok. The team progressed through the round robin stage undefeated and dominated the whole week.

U/15 Billiards - Winner Joshua Hands R/up Jayden Dinga

U/18 Snooker - Winner Xavier Daw R/up Denzel Nicholson

U/18 Billiards - Winner Denzel Nicholson R/up Harry Mok

U/18 Girls Snooker - Winner Lilly Meldrum R/up Mia Newman

The week has been an enormous success with the inclusion of some of the junior 8-ball players joining in most events.

The stand outs for the week would have to be Lilly Meldrum, Denzel Nicholson, and Joshua Hands. Xavier Daw won his first major junior title and Harry Mok somewhat unlucky to lose the U/18 billiards going down by three points. Organisers had to check the time clock as Harry played a shot a second after the time was called and if a second earlie the match would have resulted in a draw.
